Sooooo..... Here's a really stupid story. I was hanging up the diapers on the line outside, and Addy May started to cry inside and I could hear. I realized that it was about time for her to eat, and Matt came out and said that he would finish hanging the diapers up for me while I fed our little tiny. Well, because I am a freaking idiot, I slipped on the stairs into the house, and seriously ate it. My knee dislocated really bad and I whacked my shin on the stair. A chunk of skin was taken out and it hurt like a MOTHER! Anyways, I don't have a good picture of this, but I thought I'd share this as I'm thinking about my shin throbbing right now. I guess it's nice that I limp anyways, so now no one will ask me what happened, followed my my full disclosure of idiotness. :) Dodged that bullet.
Anyways, after Addy May fell asleep for her mid-morning nap, Matt and I went in the kitchen to get something to eat. 10 minutes later, we go back into the bedroom to find this:
This little blanket was around her body when she fell asleep, and after a few minutes, turned into this. And she didn't even make a sound! I guess the light was too bright, and she found this more comfortable. What a little squidge.
We actually find her like this a lot. Especially if she is really fussy and we lay her down for a nap, she'll cry til she gets the blanket over her eyes, then she miraculously falls asleep. Presh.
adjust the type of spray emitted from said sprinkler?? Here's a pic for convenience. ANYways, our grass was dying in some sports cause the red thingy wasn't the right one (it needed to shoot out more water) so I decided that I would be AWESOME and change them so Matt didn't have to. Raise your hand if you have ever done this. Yeah. Not a great idea. Matt told me that I needed to make sure I had the sprinkler on so that when I unscrewed the tiny screw that holds it in, the pressure of the water would shoot the red thing out on its own. Didn't happen that way. Have you ever messed with a sprinkler that was going full blast? Well, you get shot in the face. A lot. And I changed about 8 of them. So I was soaking wet from my head to my toes. PLUS, I had to run BACK AND FORTH from the garage where the sprinkler controls are, to all around the yard!! Do you know how enormous this yard is? Click here (scroll down for the lawn shots) for a refresher. Have you ever run after giving birth? Ha. It's like sneezing or jumping on a trampoline... No buen. Needless to say, after that fiasco, I was wet and cold. BUT the sprinklers on 2 acres of lawn are fixed and Matt's wife is awesome. Whew. Oh, and I didn't get any pictures of that. Lame, I know. But maybe you laughed?
Madison and Whitney came over today to hang out, and we took a quick pic of Addy May and her new friends. (Madison got Addy this dress. It's one of my favorites!)
